tonight the car is getting:
clayed
polished
waxed

which is in preparation for it's first show which is happening this Sunday :)

Well that's it clayed, polished and waxed, huge thanks to C14IRE for the help claying (she's a fussy one) all that's left to do now is dress the black plastics before giving it a second coat of wax and if the weather is dry tomorrow after that I plan a photo shoot of the car as this is the cleanest it has been since I bought it.

Next up for the car is a full engine scrub & trim (110k miles and never once been washed in there) so the week before Easter I plan a neat TFR of the engine bay and underside of bonnet, power wash the lot till it's gleaming then do door / boot checks etc with TFR and the power wash to remove all ground on dirt that never gets removed with weekly cleans and take it to the RDS for it's first major show which is Modified Motors Live :)

So fingers crossed that tomorrow I shall have the first decent images of the car completed ;)

Finally have the first show over me and the reaction on peoples faces was priceless as they looked round the car confused and for the older generation in a state of flashback while looking at the centre caps hehe

Well I think it's time for a little update

Got the wooden bead seat covers for inside (no photo's of them as yet) and also completed my first major show which was Modified Motors Live in the RDS Dublin over Easter, the car got some amount of strange looks which then turned into laughs, this is what it's all about :)

MM Live

As usual I couldn't stop myself there and took to the engine bay with a steam wash and TFR courtesy of BK Detailing in Carryduff thus leading to more rattle can badness and some more vinyl, what I have done wont shock most people but fair tidies the wee lady up, so just need to get a can of Rockstar to rest the bonnet on at shows so as not to have bonnet up full ;)

thats the old rayvern car indeed, the mate from NI bought it

Well here is another update on what I thought was a complete project HAHA

Seamy bought himself a little Ibiza GTi track car and since it's use is for track I bid him a bad offer for the front fog lamps and surrounds, so Saturday morning the fogs were fitted with the lovely lime green surrounds
cordoba86.jpg

as soon as I got home the surrounds were rubbed and 3 layers of satin matte black applied, fitted and straight down the road to Fintona 09
cordoba87.jpg

Once I had parked up i was handed some yellow Lamin X so fogs removed and the Lamin X fitted, then the covers put back into place, the yellow tinge just works so so well, still need to get the wired up but I shall wire them as driving lamps rather than fog lamps

Love the centrecaps and originality, keep it going. Engine bay = awesome.
Loving the retro coolness with the gameboy, smilies, glasses, bmx.
Can't help but think the the bonnet is a bit plain, or the back :S.. but no doubt the coolest car on here. (Y) (L)

I think we all like to see something totally different and also done to such as high standard. There's only so many euro'd mk3 / mk4 ibizas you can handle

100% agree'd and here is a quote from my magazine report for the car ;)
Semi skimmed retro, meets full fat phunk. Not strictly retro, you gotta milk the phunk, make yourself a phunkshake! This car doesn’t have a road presence; it bursts bright yellow phunkshake!
