Flippin heck! Maybe it was meant to be, so now he can actually have the turbo he set out to get?

I'd be expecting a brand new unit from TD if it were their fault...

ok an update
well after a long and painful process of talking to turbo dynamics to see what wasgoing on with my turbo they admitted that te turbo ws faulty nd that it was nothing to do with will..
i can see why will has been mentioning trouble he has been having with them...they told me 2 weeks ago my turbo was being rebuilt and sent out..i honed them 3days later to see where my turbo was and they still denied even recieving it, even though i checkd with the courior who sent it and they said that it was recieved early morning of the monday..
i still have not recieved my turbo but they said it was sent yesterday and should be here today (but i will get a tracking number and find out)
i must admit there customer service is not very helpful as they say a member of staff will call you back but they never do.
its taken3 weeks of me and will chasing them and its a joke

i just wanted to clear this up that it was nothing to do with will or his mechanics that the turbo went pop

Well there you go. Goes back to my point, always give the party in question the time to defend themselves before going public with anything.

I am glad that it was not Will's / P-Torques fault.

thats why i was fair maz i dint want to fire into the wrong people..
ok td contacted me week ago to get my addres to send the turbo to me to get fitted and td sent the turbo to will instead of me so i now have no turbo till tomorrow morning i am so annoyed and frustrated that a big company like td cant communicate enough to get the postage details right!!!!

so this really does mean that it could of been TD that sent the wrong turbo to ash?

shame really as i think its unfair on will as everyone was saying how well run TD was and turns out they arnt

On the other hand, P-Torque seems to be the only company who have had issues with the turbo's.

I'm not pointing the finger at anyone.

Just seem's a bit odd how all the horror stories are linked to the same tuner.

Turbo Dynamics have been fantastic with me! Their customer service was second to none! They were fully booked when I had my problems with my "hybrid" and they took time out to fit me in the same day I called to check the turbo over so I could get it back on! They sorted me in a day! Then when I've called, they've known who i am and what the problem was. I honestly cant speak on them highly enough! And the second turbo they did they cracked on and got it back to me in good time....

I couldnt recommend them enough from my experiences!

Ditto.

Like all companies they have hicups. Like I say its the companies ability to help you when something goes wrong that makes them a good company. All companys f-up at times - even AmD have to me but bloody hell do they act quick to fix the problem and make me happy which makes AmD the only people who touch my car.

Even when you read an unbiased post of someones experience, telling you that TD have admitted there was a turbo fault

Strange also that we have not had 1 turbo problem in the history of P-Torque until we dealt with their re-con hybrids?

I'm not looking to fall out over this, but the fact we release software for new models using different turbos and never have an issue must give some confidence?

Quick plug actually :cartman:: Our DPF delete software is now ready for the 170PD models

a little update, spoke to sfs today and they should e sending out my new red lower intercooler hose so i can have a decent set up rather than a bodge that inpossible performance done for me!!
also recieved my stage2 through today it is currently at the garage being fitted and ready for tomorrow;)
watch this space

ok i recieved my new lower ic hoses from sfs and they seemed to have made a difference but i think it is just that i got rid of my boost leak tbh
ok i went to p-torque on wednesday for my stage2 map and the results are very very inpressive indeed and the cr is so much faster than before on the stage1, we had a few problems with the mapping due to a faulty maf which is now changed but i have to go back to will so he can change a few things to compensate ofr the new maf as we could not get on up near him for love nor moey!!
the powe comes in hard but smooth all the way to the red.

the only problem i may have is possibly with the turbo as sometimes the car puls very very hard and others it seems to hold back, will spoke to a friend of his who had the same problem with a TD hybrid turbo and it was stick veins.
i hope its not a turbo issue bt ill find out if the maf does not rid these issues!!!

but other than that i am very happy with the car and she even gave a 350z a run and matched it inch for inch and i had brad in the car(he a big bloke)

i want to say a big thank you to will for all his help and the time and money he has had to invest to get this sorted even though it should have been TD that paid for my labour costs.

one thing i will say is if anyone is going to do business with TD be careful because they are very difficult to deal with and i always seemed to be passed arund between staff and never get a srtaight answer becasue evry problem was always someone elses fault and never theres, even taking my address and sending the turbo to will

the next mod is ocus ST orange wheels and water methenol;)

That's really good news, any chance of some pics of the new SFS hose possible with it fitted to see how it compares with the OEM?

Oh and of course get a new dyno posted ASAP! ;)

when i get the car up on axel stands ill take pics but i have no lap top at the moment i on my dads lol
ill try and get to amd in the week for a rr sesion

Ill explain on behalf of Karl as i was there and he is at work at the moment. Basically after Will set up the car so it was spot on, he done a dyno run and reported to us that it felt like it was going into limp mode after 4k, like it it had hit a brick wall, no power and he spent a couple of hours searching for the fault and nothing showed. Last thing Will tried was to clean the maf, and after the maf was cleaned, it pulled all the way to the red. Will said its a dodgy maf and not fully reading, so he only mapped it to the max that the maf could read. Karl bought a new maf yesterday and it pulls alot harder. Will said to Karl bring it back up to me to tweak it once you have a new maf. Hope this explains it lol
