Odd Bonnet Question!

Hi guys,

Bit of an odd one this, i've had this Cupra 03 for about 8 months and never spotted it was different till someone pointed out my bonnet!

Anyone seen this before or has someone got busy with a spray can?

And if so any ideas how to get it off??!!

Nope seems like matt finish thickish paint.

weird, my thoughts were vinyl also. Perhaps it had a rush / dmaage problem and they did this to repair it? or they liked the look...

yeh i thought part of a bra or something but never seen anything like it. maybe it got damaged and they did that to stop it rusting????

well i might find out later im thinking of going at it with some safe cut, cant see any sign of damage on either side, might try previous owner see if he knows anything! Wish i didnt know it was there now!

maybe i wont, right hand side looks like sanded filler i can see marks through the paint.

take a picture of the underside of the bonnet with the carpet taken off and post it up!!

Try these, looks to me like someone shut something in the bonnet hence the dents in the plastic under the bonnet or a bloody big stone hit it!!

By the way the bonnet is on the latch for the first few photos

also, don't go to Essers paintshop on broadbridge heath, they couldn't even colourmatch my door and wouldn't re-do it.
