you will have to drop the subframe mate.

drop it down, but dont take it off, rest it on a jack, fit your new roll bar, refit the subframe.
 
yep... glad i got a week off to play cars, I just wish i'd brought some power tools home. A ramp would have been nice too but dont usually see much sun in the workshop so its not all bad on the driveway lol.

Forge coolant pipes next woooo!
 
lol... i'll pop a guide up for you, its quite easy. you just need a few tools and i suggest starting a swear box before you begin too, you'll have saved no end of £1 coins by the end of it! lmao
 
Think my steering rack is dying so think i will be replacing the front arb when i do that. Presume that it will have to be dropped completely to change that?

PS Heard that the LCR rack is faster than the LC one so can i simply fit a LCR one or are there other parts that will have to be replaced?

manage to do a guide on this?? i need to change my arb bushes, how easy???

if i lower the subframe do i have to get re aligned....
James the ARB bushes can be changed without dropping the sub frame, it's a bit of a biatch but it can be done. Dropping the sub frame doesn't warrant a 4 wheel alignment check as nothing has changed
 
get some polly bushes... also get some longer bolts if your fitting pollys as you'll need them to compress the pollys down (voice of experience speaking) think bolts are m8's.

Guide will be up tomo for you, (no time today) thought i had a few more picys than i do so you'll have to use your imagination in places.

its straight forward though you'll be pleased to know, just some carefully applied force will do the trick for the best part and careful planning :)

I thought guy's had used longer bolts before and they wouldn't fully tighten up due to the front subframe mounting. I used a set of small vise grips and plumbers (hens legged) pliers to squeeze the clamp to allow you to start tot make up the bolt. Also the bolt has a locking mechanism along with a bit of thread locking.
