THE PROBLEM !!

the longer bolts i was using for the spacers were to be used with 20mm spacers and i am running 10mm. The bolt had come out the other side and rubbed on the seal for the bearing untill.....bye bye bearings....all sorted.


Going to get the hubcentric one's ....anyone know the spigot ring length ?

All sorted and spacers now off BUT abs is still playing up. Horrid braking that still feels like i am pressing into gravel...

a while back i when i had a wheel off i cleaned some excess oil and dirt off the cables and i remember seeing what looked liked some cable rub...could this be the probem maybe ?

I had a similar problem on my 8v. I'd fitted cheap halfords spacers with 17's and they had manages to thread one of my wheel bolt threads...and also the bolts i used were too long and had pushed the abs ring into the hub. I had a gravelly noise, so dont know if that will help (never again will i buy cheap spacers as it ended up costing me a fortune and the longer wheel bolt had mashed up the inside!!

just need to sort this bloody ASB problem out now !!!!...nightmare.

Its going back in tomorrow to have the brakes looked at again.

I cant have it doing this all the way to Germany !
