yes mate bumper off! it's a pig of a job aswell. well mine was, because when the grill smashed it broke some of the mounting prongs on the bumper so i had to use a plastic cement to refit it. not ideal. make sure you have a soldering iron handy for the plastic welds.... you'll see what i mean;)

Yay, i've never been the first to be creative... ever!!!
looks like it does have a down side though ay Tim:lol: just so long as i get the credit when everyone starts doing it!
Word or warning though Daz i had my grill on the living room floor doing it as i was replacing it anyway and it was fiddily as f00k, dread to think what it'll be like doing it on the car:cry: good luck though if you do;)

i did that to my grill a while ago (sorry to ruin your creativity lol) but i did not go as far as the carbon bits which looks the nuts!!!
lovely car mate

ps some git pushed my grill under my fmic the other day and that was a git to put back in without taking the bumper off lol

it was the carbonfibre i meant when i said about being the first to do somat. i'm sure many people have had to replace these grills, they are a really poor design really with the plastic weld, you'd think they would just clip in:shrug:

cureing my understeer

So here is my first real mod, still happy with standard power, but not so happy with the vauge steering and understeer at times.

026.jpg

It's the same strut brace as the one on cupraMVR's car, i know most people go with the S3 brace but i liked the idea of the adjustability and it's thicker and cheaper than the S3 brace so figured it a better option!
From a review point of view the quality of the brace isn't amaizing, and was a bit of a pig to fit because of this. It's hard to tell if it's made any real difference, but the car does seem to point a little better and the whole front of the car feels stiffer, but i'm in two minds as to wether this is just a placebo effect:shrug:
The back seems a little looser too now so a neuspeed ARB will be on it's way very shortly;)

Right managed to get my Neuspeed 25mm rear ARB for £186 at the Aweaome open day a few weeks ago, loving it thats pretty much £50 cheaper than it should have been!

Nice one Awesome:worship:

fitted it today... along with it a front to back quick shift linkage!
anti-rollbar.jpg

The roll bar has really tightend the car up, even in a straight line the car just feels so coperative. It feels like it's lower and better planted, and even at low speeds it just turns in so much sharper now, you can really feel the back following the front. It's set on medium for now, the weather's crap down here so i have'nt had chance to go for a spirited drive but i'll report at a later date what other effects it's had under hard cornering etc. I may try the harder setting to just to see whats available:D
The linkage is also fantastic. It felt weird for the first 5mins but now i can't even remember what it was like before, it feels like your driving fast even when your not at first:lol: even the misses like's it!
