Silver is one of those colours that always worries me. I personally think it’s one of the hardest colpurs to make shine so when a silver car comes my way I get very anxious but excited. I love the challenge of getting the silver to look wet and show some nice clean reflections.

When Wookie and I agreed on a date we both agreed that there was only one option for the car, it needs the full works.

~ 3M 3434 Masking Tape


It was a pretty busy day so we didn’t get a lot of before and afters. Here is the process we done throughout the day.

PROCESS

1. Clean Arches with Megs APC, Autosmart Tardis and Chemical Guys Degreaser
2. Clean alloy wheels and tyre wall with Megs APC. Used Megs Hot Wheels for stubborn dirt.
3. Clay Wheels and Seal with Chemical Guys Wheel Sealant
4. Scrub callipers with Vikan wheel brush as best as possible
5. Wash with Shampoo and rinse wheels with pressure washer
6. Snow Foamed car
7. Clean plastics and rubber with megs APC using swissvax brush
8. Washed car with Lusso Autobathe Shampoo
9. De-tar car with Autosmart Tardis
10. Wash car again and dry with drying towels.
11. Tape the car up
12. Clean class inside and out with Lusso Glass Polish
13. Use Last Megs Last Touch on wheels
14. Machine car with Menzerna polish. First Stage
15. Machine Car with Dodo Juice LP. Second Stage
16. Treat interior paint surfaces with Dodo NFS
17. Apply Wax/Sealant product. 2 Coats of Blitz
18. Apply Red Mist Sealant 2 Coats of Red Mist
19. Treat all plastics and rubbers
20. Final inspection and tidy up


Turning up at 9:00am I was pleased to see the car wheels off and the arches exposed.

@Wookie - it should do mate that was the plan! Give it a wax every month or couple of months will keep it like that all year round :) Oh and your most most most welcome. Thank you for feeding me the lovely food you cooked.

How long was it after that until it rained? Does look good mate. I love cleaning my car for hours on end!
Dont think it rained that night though it rained the next day. Car should of beaded quite well with the layers put on... :)
