Yeah i did get it from Wales, bloody bridge fee's added £10 to the cost (2 journeys). I've had it since saturday and i have to say i'm very happy with it. The main thing that pissed me off about it is that it must have had some kind of break-in in the past as the rear passenger door has a paint mark on it and the dorr seal down the sie is hanging off. No leaks or anything luckily so i want to get this seal fixed A.S.A.P!

Does anyone know where to get these from? i'll try to get som pic's up of what i'm talking about.

Cheers

must have happend while he had it as it was mint when i sold it, no broken rear light either :(

What's the 182 like compared to the LCR? I know they're totally different animals but I'm interested :)

Bet the handling is awesome!

its a 172 actually :p but yeh your right, speed wise isnt a huge amount in it imo, handling, the clio would leave it for dead though. where the lcr felt big and heavy, understeery the clio, you can feel the back end digging in and coming into play when you want it too.

however, it still doesnt make up for the rattles, shakes and the crap build quality of the clio so i'd still have the lcr.

forgot to mention lucas, the leon had a few bits done to it when i sold it, forge d/v, itg panel filter, powerflex dogbone mount, ferodo ds2500 pads and ebc discs not sure how much of that lots still on there mind! or my old pioneer head unit????

yeh you prob would, depends what you want from a car. if you want to get from a to b fast as you can then the trophy would leave the leon standing imo. however, comfort along with a decent dose of power / speed. the leon would win.

They can't leave me standing;)
Mine is just as much fun now as my 106 GTI lowered 30mm, just lot faster:)

what'v you done to yours suspension wise? without me going through nineteen pages of tempting me with another lcr.....:) haha.

guessing its pretty well set up as the trophy is suppose to be one of, if not the best front drive chasis out there.

Well I’m no expert but i think the breaks are on it, however the DV isn't a loud one. Sorry to let you down but I’m not sure about the rest. The guy who you sold it too had moved to Australia so i basically bought it from his mum! I’ll try and find out about that stuff.
I do have a question for you all though and it is a bit of a repost but from what i can find its never been properly resolved.

On my way to work this morning after starting the car there was a loud "beep beep beep" and then the light started flashing by my temp gauge the car didn't heat up any more than usual but the light continued to flash until i stopped. Haven’t started the car again since but was thinking maybe the coolant needs topping up slightly?

yeh the d/v was one of the recirc ones from forge rather than a loud one. to be fair, if its the same lad, and it sounds like it is, his mum pretty much bought the car from me in the first place....bless. haha.

yeh defo the coolant level warning, if its fine, it sounds like the sensor is nakered.

cool, nice to know the car has been modded a little!

looks like its going to have a trip down my local SEAT then, bit odd how the light didn't come on at lunch!

Is there a way i will be able to see if the itg panel filter, powerflex dogbone mount have been left on the car?

Also sorry to sound like a newb but what the hell are they?

the filter should be pretty straight forward, if you know where the airbox is under the bonnet (big black plastic box on the bottom right corner somewhere) open that up and you'l see if its an itg panel filter in there (will be marked up). the dogbone mount is a gearbox mount thats down under the engine area fixed to the bulkhead area of the car. cant rememeber for definate but if your lying under the car in the middle, there should be a mount that goes from back of engine / gearbox area to the bulkhead with a bright yellow bush fitted to it. wouldnt have thought that would have been removed.

Back on topic, i nearly bought your car back last year. It was when i was looking for mine.

There was a reason i didn't buy it in the end, cant remember what it was. It was stunning.
I went for a black one eventually. Im not sure if that was a good idea or not.

you come and see it? hope the reason wasnt something to do with the car or me??;)haha.

black does look good, but, i think the red just stands out and looks awesome. would get another red one tommorrow if i had some spare cash.
