Trip Computer wont switch off

just noticed it now as its dark

i havent been in the car for 1 hour now and the trip computer screen in the centre is still lit up red

it says off on it but all the other info is still showing and its still lit up

does anyone know why it would do this?

or a cure to fix this?

can i remove the fuse to stop it flattening the battery? anyone know which fuse?

thought german cars were supposed to be good? lol

owner for nearly 2 weeks and the list of faults/problems is longer than my arm!!!

have a look at this removal guide here and take the front off for a few days but leave it connected see if it still lights up the same

what used to happen was the rev/ff tape player buttons would stick/jam in the hole and keep the stereo on

worth a check/try

i pulled the fuse for the stereo but that has now disconnected all the heating/aircon syatem so i put it back in
