Why does the cupra have plastic bottom and the fr colour coded? Any other differences?

Why? Looks a little meaner, and it differentiates the 2 models. Only other difference would be the light washers on early cupras with Xenons.

Both the new facelift FR and Cupra have the colour coded bottom.

However it's not so indented from the rest of the bottom edge nor raised any more so that piece that used to look separate now has no defined edges to demarcate it from the rest of the bumper.

See IanG's photo.

It looks to me like it'll be a lot harder to paint that section black than it used to be.

As far as I can tell on photos the only front bumper differences between the FR and the Cupra now are the three holes in the bumper below the grill and the black panel behind the number plate (on the FR that plate is body coloured).

Although it would appear harder on the new model to paint the central bumper black I reckon it would still be the first mod on my list for the facelight model. Someone did a Photoshop on here and it looked sweet

Yeah the bumpers are the same but the cupra is painted black in the centre. Lots of people including myself have had there fr bumper painted black in the centre as preference. Looks better imo.

My FR is Black, so the centre is black anyway ! :D
I'm thinking about painting the centre valence Silver, to match the Silver wing mirrors! ;)

You have to make sure it starts and finishes right. The older bumper was easier as it was a seperate piece. Would still look better though
