Hey i,ve got a leak coming from the n/s of my gear box, after further investigation we believe that the seal behind the n/s flange is leaking, i was wondering if any one knew the part number? my local dealer is useless and im away from home so cant go to show them the part on there system :(
thanks
Chris

p.s its a 1.4 99 mk2 with an apq engine but can't remember the gearbox code

i hate 085 gearboxes with a passion

rebuilt the on eon the mrs polo a few months back, brand new diff bearings are still noisy even thought i messured the endfloat on everything and fitted the right shims for correct bearing preload!
also i have replaced the N/s drive flange seal twice since, with genuine parts and its leaking again!!!

anyway the part number you need is

084409189B
