i have a massive back box made by cobra that was designed for a corsa, it barely fits. i want a new one that fits perfectly with the facelift rear bumper. are there any other cars that have back boxes that will fit? eg golf mk4, polo, etc

it knocks againts the shocker bolt if i line it up straight, i had to weld sum pipes together and use half of the original back box pipes to make it fit, but when it gets really hot or i drive over speed bumps it comes loose again. theres 2 brackets at the bumper end. ive got one thru the mounting and the other is now attached to the body with a little metal strip just so it dusnt fall off.

My Mk3 Cupra exhaust is touching the bottom lip and it isnt melting the bit its touching.

Mk3 Cupra backbox is a good, not too loud or chavy. Has a nice burble to it.

Mine constantly knocks under the handbrake area. The 2 brackets are touching when the car is running.

the knocking usually comes from the middle box needing adjustment it's the key to getting it right usually get pushed in too far to the cat to be honest.

front joiner adjusts the front to back and rear joiner does the side to side

Thought I'd post in this thread instead of making a new thread...

I know that the Ibiza Mk3 exhaust is a straight fit for the Mk2, and would be my preferred choice but cannot find one anywhere for a decent price.

So my question is, do the exhausts from the Golf Mk2 or 3 fit on the Ibiza easily? There's loads on ebay, really cheap aswell......

Cheers

The mk3 Ibiza exhaust isn't a straight fit, it has a 2.5" diamiter as it was originally designed for a turbo, so a reducer to fit the 2.25" mk2 manifold is required.

Mine fits perfect, with all 3 brackets holding it up and no knocking/ vibrating. It has melted the bumper, just a little bit, but it now looks like it has been merged into it, so it looks pimp imo ;)

Oh yh I know you need a reducer, but that's the case for all exhausts going on my 1.4. Getting desperate for a zorst now, hence asking if golf mk2 exhausts are easy to fit

Mk2 golf is a no, a mk3 one might with 'persuasion' although i don't know of one on a MK2 off the top of my head.

The problem part with the MK2 is where it goes up and over the back axle and I don't know if the golf has this little quirk.

go have a look in the mk3 section for eople that have just bought a new exhaust and ask them if they still have their old one... put an ad in the wanted section...

i got offers within a day for mk3 exhausts, and got one for 60 quid posted which for a full system is nothing

if a mk1 clio exhaust fits an ibiza id be VERY suprised

back box only here for 30 quid:
