I've gone for the sportlines so i'll comment once i've got them on.
I'm considering getting both Eibach Pro Kit and Koni FSDs done at around the time of my FR's first service. I'm almost used to the ride but at the same time I wince whenever I look in the mirror and see my sleeping baby's head getting bounced around in her car seat... poor thing. I'm also a little bored of 'explaining the sporty ride' (i.e. making excuses for the shocks and jolts) to passengers - I'd much rather it just wasn't an issue.
One point that I don't think's been mentioned yet in this thread... does this kind of modification affect your insurance? I mean, most insurers would charge you more for a 'lowered' car, would they not?
I was considering changing just the dampers to FSDs as this won't lower the car any (lowering is not my goal) and thus I hoped wouldn't affect my insurance... but jcp's comments in particular are making me think I ought to bite the bullet and get both springs and dampers done. After all, I don't want to end up paying for two rounds of expensive labour and alignment checks etc if I can get both done at the same time... and the springs are relatively cheap.
Any comments on the insurance question would be very welcome!![]()
Sorry if I didn't make it clear, but it was always my intention to declare anything I changed to my insurer... but I wanted to know how roughly much extra it might cost typically for (a) eibach pro kit springs or (b) Koni FSDs or (c) both.![]()
Just got sportlines installed last night. Few pics before and after. I have had cars lowered before etc, but these have to be the best springs I have ever used. The ride is stil amazing comfortable.

just drove back from Kildare to Dublin had a short blast of 150kmh on clear motorway but ride seemed to be very bouncy "not hard" but a long up long down bounce (roller coaster) I thought maybe road surface but on slowing down watching other traffic passing they didn't seem to be doing the same ?? anyone experienced the same
