decats and fault codes

I'm thinking of going decat but I've just searched and found it brings a fault up, will the car run rough with the fault code or will it be fine and its just a case of erasing it every now and again?

Also forgot to mention, I'm thinking of possibly going hybrid, would I be better off getting a 3" dp or would it cause too much lag as it is now?

does nothing to the ride mate,just annoying to get the ECU comin on every cpl of hundred miles or so,will get it mapped out when i go stage 2.

Remember that you will need a cat for MOT time, Danny....

I would stick with a 100 or 200 cell high flow cat. 3" down pipe would be nice
