I was looking at this yesterday, and couldnt quite work out if you had to be flashed with their map first or could this be used to change any maps?

yea its interesting, IF you know what you are doing and are covered by available maps for european ecu's, and can afford the price.
ability to manipulate maps looks nice
only works on a eurodyne map which is part of the purchasing process.
unittronic suite also mentioned ove ron the tex, with subsequent flame war..
eurodyne look to have stolen a march over their peers
be nice if one of the UK outfits offered a similar, but affordable, version

Its about £650 for a base map and the ability to alter it when required so I didnt think that was too bad compared to other offerings.
Could be mapped for different conditions (drag,track day,road) and simply uploaded when required. I like the idea.

yep.. but when pushed for what available database of tunes for ecu range I wonder what there is. US well covered, and hope outside also.
Way cheaper than unitronic looks to be, and free to do your own thing, not thru a dealer as such.
ask them if they have something for your model ecu.. be interested to hear what options are available.
Then again I still need someone to map it even if I did buy it.
why do you there maps run good of of the box
yeah it will be better. but like i said there base maps are good so all you will have to do is fine tune it. have you looked on vwvortex for this they have a lot of info on there about it

You can map your car yourself though using the Maestro 7.
The whole point is Chris (owner of Eurodyne) gives you a base map which you tweak to your specs.
I am now offering these for an ME-7 wideband user.Save the hassle of going through the custom mapping process.
