What's the build quality like on the DP and CAT? Also whats the car pull like through out the rev range?

Bult quality is just fine. 120cell metal cat, however, the fitment was a struggle. The mechanic had to redrill some holes to make it fit also it didnt align with the exhaust channel perfectly. Luckely for me I know a skilled mechanic ;)

It pulls harder, no doubt specially at higher RPM. I notice 1psi gain at 6000RPM. Also still have max boost at around 3000RPM so my torque curve has not moved up the rev range.

So in the end did it need alot of adjustment?

Yes it did. ALOT. Holes on the pipe didnt fit the turbo bolts so we drilled them out. The catpipe was at an odd angle compare to the exhaustchannel so we needed to cut some off the pipe so make it work, also there was no hole for the lambada sensor so we had to drill a little hole for that. Alot of drilling and grinding.. but in the end it turned out ok. Thanks to a skilled mechanic!

Will do a bench-test of the car on Monday. Looking for 250ish... its got 130 000km under the belt and just a generic remap so I think 250-ish is ballpark :)

Subcribing as interested to know how the exhaust fairs as xs-power have mixed reviews.

No back pressure is desirable for a turbo, there might be a slight loss in torque as it takes slightly longer for boost to build, because there is less restriction in the flow in and out of the chamber.

well find out on Monday, For the record I haven't bench-tested it before the DP so I have no numbers to compare with. However, from driving it I can tell you it pulls harder from exactly the same RPM's. Around 3000RPM I have full boost. Same as before DP. Less torque? Don't think so, feels like more torque to me !!!

Also about this seller xs-power.... what a f***ing d**k! He guaranteed 2 times the DP was a perfect fit for my -04 LCR. Twice! And it wouldn't even bolt on the K04 turbo..... needless to say he did not get a positive feedback...

soo, the rototest showed the BSR remap was a very mild one. Autotech ( the place with the rototest) had another remap I tried and the results are below. BSR remap gave 238hp and Autotech approx 255hp. The numbers on the graph are hp at the wheels. They calculated with 12% drivetrain loss. Now the car is boosting 25psi and gradually drops to 16psi at 6000rpm in 4th gear. In 5th gear it boosts 25 psi and holds 20psi to 5500rpm (scary on wet road - in mexico of course!)

We also reset to standard map to see what it did stock. 213hp was the result then.

All the runs in the rototest was in 5th gear. Would it make a difference to do them in 4th? I believed 4th was approx 1 to 1 ratio...

I noticed on one of the runs in the rotortest there was a little white puff that came out. Didn't see it when I was there. Thought about head gasket at once... take a look!
