STUPID QUESTION I NO BUT CAN U JUST REMOVE THE ROCKER COVER WOULD I NEED A NEW GASKET? SAME FOR INLET WOULD I NEED A NEW GASKET OR AM I LIABLE TO BREAK SUMMIN OR MAKE A LIGHT POP UP
ANY ONE KNOW IF THERES A GUIDE:whistle:

It would be worth fitting new gaskets tbh mate

I could do a guide but it would mean removing my rocker cover again,

Just look at all the bolts holding the rocker cover on arounfd the edges remove, remove coilpacks and hose going to the rockercover passenger side and hey presto rocker cover removed.

A few capscrews holding the inlet on and also the TB is attached to the inlet .

fiddly part is the injectors and fuel rail being in the way.

You can get away with reusing th gaskets i did as they were in good condition.

If you remove the throttle body have you got to re-align it?

Sanded it to almost a finshed polished look to get a smooth even surface then painted it -

To the life of me i cant remember how to re align it, a high pitch oise will happen if it needs re aligned iirc

for the price of gaskets i would replace them but i did mine a s a spur of the moment weekend thing and needed the car for that week.

did you mask anything off on the inlet or rocker cover? Or just the obvious parts where paint shouldnt be

u dont need to reallign i didnt anyway and had no problems, only if you start messing round with the butterfly valve do u need to reallign it which needs to be done with vagcom
