Face it guys, front wheel drive cars are never going to be free from wheel spin FACT, you can add this and that to help it but its still going to be there. Only realistic way of controling it is to keep ontop of tyre pressures, use good tyres, and maintain the suspension components. A dogbone mount will provide an improvement over stock and reduce the hop, but spin is allways going to be there. My tip is, learn how to use the pedals.

If i was going for 300+ bhp id go with an audi S3 and make use of the quattro.
and a LSD differential?
4WD is too safe and boring, 2WD is fun, exciting and a little on the edge[:@]

just looked at the THS kit, pretty pricey hey.

i think im gona start with the DBM, whats the forge DBM like, any good????

we get a good discount off the list price, check your pm's for a discount code ;)

Isn't the Forge one just the powerflex bushes that fit in the original mount?

If so I've got these and despite what people say there not that bad at all :)

Im going to change my dogbone mount bushes to forge ones as mine knocks slightly which I think is down to too much play in the bush.

Just make sure you grease these well and pay close attention to the torque for the bush, this is critical for the feel of it.
But i still wouldn't advise these due to the vibrations

All uprated mounts cause vibrations, just somthing you have to live with. The powerflex on mk4 platform as far as i know only transmit small vibration through steering wheel on idle. Ive seen Group N mounts on a 106 gti and it shook like hell :cartman:

Sorry Shaun, that's not true.
I have the INA street and track density mounts, these have ZERO extra vibrations.
I believe the track density engine one does.

I know about group N's, these are usually solid aluminium.
good way of checking your fillings though, lol

Fair enough, just most if not 99% of uprate mounts cause some vibration. Yea group n are hurrendous, would drive me insane. Although the noise of the throttle bodies on it made up :D

I fitted powerflex ones last week and although it is good it does vibrate more in the cabin, not really annoying or anything but it does vibrate more than standard, I find the vibration is worse in reverse.

As Willie says make sure you grease them up well [they come with the grease]

I'm talking on idle and very slow driving, doesn't really effect normal driving.

You can also just fit 1 of the 2 uprated bushes and leave 1 of the standard ones in.

Bought myself a DBM today from Awesome, got there before the Powerflex ones all went.

Looking forward to trying it when its on :)

probably because the downpipes a tight fit, and uprating dogbone will lessen engine slop, thus stop it catching as much.

for the cash, do it anyways. have a search on dogbone mounts

What Dogbone Mount?

Hi Guys, I'm thinking of purchasing an uprated Dog bone mount, I know that there are a fewdifferent versions out there:):), what I'm asking is for any recommendations, I know some of them creak a lot & some even transfer more vibration into the cabin. Ideally looking for one that does the job without all the unwanted charicteristics, any experiences and recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Redrat.
