Lowest Mileage LCR

Hi there!

As a new owner of a 55-plate Leon Cupra R, I was wondering if mine was one of the lowest mileage ones around? :shrug:

I've had it just over a month now and it had 17.5k miles when I bought it and has just gone past 18k now :D I only do about 6k miles a year, so it will probably be really low mileage when i come to sell it :)

I spent 6 months looking for one and the lowest mileage I saw was 19k on an 04 plate black one down in Worcester.
 
I bought an 03 plate 2yrs ago with 19k on it, it's now 30k. So in it's life, it's covered 5k a year :D, now even less that I walk to work. I will sell it before it reaches 60k however...that's my personal limit for all cars and they still retain value in the 50k's.
 
24k and 30k are still pretty low.

I plan on keeping mine for 2 or 3 years, so it should have 30-35k on the clock when I sell it.
 
hi soysauce, mine is a 55 plate too but im on 31k which is still mighty low....

only bad thing you have to worry about now (if if you have done it already)...cambelt and water pump change after 18k mles? that is heartbreaking.....

:blink: Cambelt change after 18k miles?! It's not a Peugeot! :lol:

I thought VW products were supposed to be reliable, I've left my Pug days behind, I know it's 4 years old, but... :shrug:

I'd be pretty disappointed and angry if a cambelt snapped on a 4 year old car after only 18k miles! I'll have to check my warranty to see if snappage is covered :whistle:
 
It's not so much the mileage as the time. The belt can still deteriorate even if not used. Once exposed to heat, moisture, air etc... I'd still get it done between 4-5 years to be on the safe side.

I need mine doing sometime between now and Sept next year :(

Yeah, that's true I suppose. I'll probably get it done at it's next service in 11 months time, after checking my 12 month warranty to see if snappage is covered.
 
Ahh good to see so many well kept low mileage LCRs! Good to know as I think these cars will be a classic one day..if they're not already! I just got one with 30k on mainly due to price, condition and location. Bought my 03 LCR 4 years ago on 30k and sold it on 90k 3 years later..never put a step out of line.
On a side note soy where in Farnham are u? I'm over by aldershot/tongham!

I've always owned Peugeot/Talbot cars, I had a spell in a Mk2 Golf GTI, but because Peugeot haven't made a decent car since my last one (306 GTI-6) I have defected to the VW group.

My 306 GTI-6 was ultra reliable, whereas the Mk2 Golf probably cost me more money to keep on the road and caused me more headaches than any other car! :(

I will see how I get on with the LCR. It's fun to drive, that's for sure! :D
