Need some help, car alarm keeps going off when I lock the car and it's obviously to late in the day plus it's a Sunday to find anywhere to look at it. My boot lid light is also on but the boot is locked and closed properly.

Any ideas or is there any fuse I can pop out to stop it?

Any help please, don't want to keep the neighbours up tonight :(

I think there is a "common fault" on the boot lid to do with the solenoid if i remember right. Im sure you will find somat if you have a search

is your rear washer jet working ok? this happened to me when my washer jet pop off inside and was spraying water all over the boot lock mechanism and not the screen. It contaminated the boot lock mechanism so the alarm kept think the boot was open (boot open light was stuck on) and setting the alarm off. The lock eventually seized up. I had to get a new lock mechanism in the end.

Yes the washer jet is ok, i had to sort this last year as it disconnected but its ok now.

Anyways, i thought i had sorted it at 10.30pm-ish i gave it a good spray with WD40, a blow and shake of the two connectors and it seemed to be ok until i was woke up at the back of 3 this morning with it going again...tried disconnecting the battery and doing the same as previous but nothing worked. Ended up leaving the car open and covering it :(

Its in the auto electrics just know so i am waiting on the dreaded phone call with how much Christmas cash i need to part with [:@]

Mine has just started doing this today. Parked it up in work and them my mate comes in about an hour later and says that the alarm is going off, stopping for a few seconds then going off again. I can hear it from where i am so not sure if me unlocking it, starting the engine and then locking it back up has solved the error but will do a scan later on vagcom for errors. Need to sort the dreaded seal leak out asap aswell prob the reason :(

Car is still in the garage :( dont know if i'll get it back today either.

The rear jet had been working but not that well, when i stripped the boot panel off the pipe was still connected ok from when it had came off last year. When i phoned the garage there they told me that the boot was soaking and that the car has been sitting drying out all day... they initially thought that i had needed a new Latch but if the car drys out fine then it should be ok as the alarm hasn't went off today.

What i assume has happened is that the pipe connection for the washer jet behind the panel with the boot light has came loose and water has poured into the boot under the panels :( into the Latch area causing the sensor to think the boot is open or something along those lines.

So let my misfortune be a lesson to any one that if you're rear washers aren't working properly check this incase so it doesn't happen to you.

My washer jet pipe connection behind the boot panel where the light is was leaking so reconnected it properly and washer jet is working alot better now so i have blamed that for water being in boot although i got my car washed the otger day and have been checking regularly around the carpeted area at this side of the boot and it felt slightly damp i thiought although i dont know whether it's just me being paranoid.

Checked the rubber seals around the lid etc and there is no corrosion anywhere so i dont know. The weather is/has been crap (snow/ice) so i'll wait until that clears and have a proper look.
