Hi guys, i'm new to these forums so bear with me :D

Had my 1.4 Sport for around 6 months now, just standard, and i'm getting pretty bored so i have decided to start modding it. I've had a look at some threads on here to see what some of you guys have done to yours and I gotta say there are some proper sweet looking mods!!

My baby :) (wont let me link to pic as im new sorry)

I just wanted to get a few ideas, i'm on a tight budget at the moment but i plan to do this over several months so it should be ok.

First thing i'm thinking is front/back cupra bumpers? I've had a look on ebay and cant find any that are complete or not damaged.. Any ideas on a good source? Wondering what sort of price i'm looking at for the full bumper kits including grilles etc, painting i can get sorted as i know someone in the business :)

Second thing would be an induction kit, now i'm new to this stuff, but i cant seem to find one anywhere for this model! Any clues?

Thirdly, i want an oval tailpipe :p but if at all possible, and i will search scrappies for this, i want a cupra backbox.

Sorry if im re-inventing the wheel with this thread guys!

hey thanks for ur reply, i was thinking, based on my current budget, about springs instead? i know coilovers are better but i think they are way beyond my current budget, having said that i'm not entirely sure on prices for these?

im the same mate with a tight budget. i got mine by just waiting and waiting for some cheap ones to come up for sale. eventually found some and paid £120 for them. ive got a front cupra bumper but fr on the rear, i wouldnt put a cupra one on now as its grown on me now ive lowered it. leon cupra "starfish" wheels look good and u can pick them up pretty cheap now. personally i think uve got your ibiza in the best colour. for inspiration look at altechs ibiza

I dunno if it's because they haven't been washed, but some Wonder Wheels would transform the standard rims :p

Anyway, things like lowering/rear wheel spacing, debadging, polo rear wiper, induction, FR bumpers and LCR splitter should sort you out :D

the rims that it came with when i bought it were pretty faded, i did the best i could with them, i had one re painted but it looks different to the others so i will get them all done, dont really wanna throw too much cash at them if im gonna get a new set eventually

I have debadged it, forgot to mention that, does look nicer :)

I want an induction kit but i cant seem to find one for the 1.4 sport, i have been told a golf 1.4 kit might fit it?

as for bumpers, i am trying to find some cupra ones, i may try and get skirts as well when funds allow!

some good ideas there, lots for me to think about, ill jot a few of them down :) i know what you mean about the drilled box, i took the whole filter out and left the box in, gave that a test run and it sounded sweeet!

is there much point in a remap on the 1.4? i didnt think it could be done and if it can would i see much improvement on the 85bhp it already is?

cheers

Not really. Not sure what gains you would make but it would be minimal. Bets option is to sort handling first: lowering springs or coilovers, rear ARB, rear 20mm spacers, strut brace.
