Problems with fr550

Hi just to say hello new to form with some questions
your help would be great

couple months back bought 08 fr550 1st the USB for
iPod controll won't reconice iPods I've tryed 6 diffrent
ones been to local seat tryed all there cabels etc no joy
so I thought I'll live without iPod in car then when wether
started getting cold I've had another 4 problems with car
1. headlights had bad condensation got them changed seams
alot better but not quite right yet
2. car takes 4 to 6 pre heats to get car started and then
idles rough for about 20 sec seat told me it's colder were I am
3. the front window has thick ice on inside of window
got told from seat that it happens right across the range
of seat cars nothing they can do
4. Car started ideling at 1000 rpm then back to normal
back to 1000 rpm this was in start stop tragic then
driving home Emission light came drove 30 mies home
next day light was of wondering what could be car booked
in to seat for diagnostics 2nd week in newyear
any help would be great.

John, I'm also a 550 owner

1. USB port only supports USB sticks etc and not iPods
2. Mine idles rough for the same amount of time when the temp falls below 0 degrees, SEAT say there is no issue.
3. That doesnt happen across the range, my back window did mist up, they changed the seals and fixed it.
4. That will be the DPF in the exhaust, 1,000rpm means it is self regenerating to burn off the soot it has collected, if this isn't properly done, it blocks and the emissions or DPF light will come on, a long run of about 2-3000rpm over 30mph will sort it

Do you run your climate on 'AUTO'? If so this could be your problem
In the winter try running it on 'ECON' for a few days. This stops the air-con from operating and therefore the build up of moisture in the heater system. It helps on cold morings to prevent the inside of the car from misting up and freezing.

You have to run it on ECON for a few days to dry it out.

Hi think I've used aircon twice since Ive had the car I always use the Econ mode

Hi gents / ladies

cant find my last post about problems with fr550 got the one prob sorted

car would'nt start great and when it did it ran rough hunting at idle 20-30 seconds
seat changed some exhaust sensor starts fine and idles perfect
