Well I seem to be getting a small fault with my car that comes and goes. Once I clear the fault it's fine, then goes into limp mode, then sometimes comes out of it during the same drive, then goes back in etc etc.

Always this code here:

Code:
17536 - Fuel Trim; Bank 1 (Mult): System too Lean

        P1128 - 35-10 - Please Register/Activate - Intermittent

Question is what to do to stop it? Been on ross wiki and it suggests MAF (already been changed), oxygen sensor faulty or fuel injectors.

Now I have noticed a bit of residue around one of the injector seals, but could this cause it to go into limp mode? I suppose it could if it doesn't get enough fuel in one cylinder.

What do you folks suggest new injector seals as first base?

I have the same problem. Been like that for a while now. However mine will go into limp mode after 15-20 minutes already!

Changed the spark plugs already, and cleaned the pre cat lambda however no luck. Car is up for sale and a new lambda is very costly.

anyone had this and actually solved it?

i also had this prob ,i replaced my maf and lambda sensor at just shy of £100 each and this fault has gone and that was over a year ago!

prob wouldn't hurt to clean the maf sensor its only held in with two torx screws ,personally i wouldn't rule the maf out as these are delicate and sensitive to knocks and vibration

i stand corrected! lol either way a piece of p*ss to remove, you get that size with most screwdriver bit sets now

sorry to drag up an old thread, ive got hte same problem (well the error code bit, not the limp mode bit - epc light just flashes on and then goes off after the codes been deleted, but comes on agian a few days later with hte same thing), did anyone actualy sort it in the end?

cheers chaps
