cheers for the help lads, its just i thought £32 is a little bit ott. But whatever itll be will be. I rang them over the phone so wasnt like a wasted journey, but i shall ring again and see what they can do...

They should help you without charges, you couldnt know now when your radiocard is gone.
But on the backside of the radiocard there is written,

"The radiocard should be cut out and kept safe, under no circumstance in the car. If the radiocard with the codenumber is lost, go to the Seat dealer and they will help you free of charge."

And they should do it free, as they bundled the car with a crappy radio which needs a code when the power goes out.[:@]

Antitheft measure. You'd prefer it stolen?

Bristol Seat didn't charge me for the code. However, when I went in, they couldn't connect to the database before I left for Plymouth. Went to Plymouth Seat and they wanted £15. Ended making do with an mp3 player for 3 weeks until I got back. The young chap in Bristol is very helpful and friendly

Alex is your tape player cd changer compatible if so I will have it

cheers si

This happened to me first time the battery went flat but i fought a good fight and told them that the code should have been filled in in the relevant slot on the PDI as the car would have left the factory with the code written or stuck somewhere, ending up in the dealer backing down and me getting the code retrieved for free.:p

This should be done for free by ANY seat dealership!!

Happened to me a few months ago.

Just took my radio manual in which states it will be done for free and got it done.
