And now the complaining starts. Cant wait to see a review...
Ya'll have to do one Z!

Hopefully, depends if my dealer gets a demo car I can borrow for an hour or so ;) or SEAT PR invite me to have a go in one sometime. ;)

About £3k more than it's predecessor cost. I doubted whether it would be in my budget and it's definitely not!

Seems that the price list is creeping up on all the models, depends what more your getting for your moolah I guess.

Looking at RRP on the NEW Leon Cupra I would be looking at around a £2.5k premium on top of what I paid for my own Cupra in 2007 with the same factory options.

It also depends when you choose to buy, if you go for a launch model then your going to pay top $$$ for it. In a years time these FR's will be have good offer movement on them no doubt.

The Ibiza is still very popular though, its been their strongest seller the past year. My cousin bought one in 2008 an 1.4SC Sport and she loves it still, and is eyeing up to change it for a 1.4TSI FR.

So you recon it be possiable for a diseal cupra model now? it 140bhp standard isn't it?

Yer 140hp approx.

Its possible but nothing has been mentioned about a Cupra model, they have seemingly resisted it with the Leon. A fact that raised some eyebrows considering they have been racing a TDI for the last couple of years.

At the moment my own feeling is that a Cupra TDi is not going to happen, just based on what they have done elsewhere within the brand.

I agree. Not even sure there's an engine suitable.. I remember seein something about a twin turbo diesel with about 210bhp though..

Thinking aloud here.

If the chassis now fits the 2.0 TDI... it fits the Mk2 Leon Cupra engine also :) poverty spec Ibiza project for the future, but certainly scope for a Cupra R

Yeah if they put in the 170bhp 2.0CR TDI that would make a good cupra tdi

The 2.0FSI engine in the ibiza would be amazing! Please some one do it!

 i dunno y but i thought fo a moment we were talkin leon cupra tdi, the 170ps 2.0cr would be the obvious one to make a cupra tdi ibiza, if it does a crackin job shifting the leon then it would be awesome in a smaller car

mork i do like you thinking about the cupra r............ would be interesting to say the least :D

I suppose theres nothing stopping someone putting cupra bumpers on it and remapping it to 170bhp!!
Theres your Cupra TDi...

take it this has a DPF,

I just specced a white one with few options, got to say i am sorely tempted. But i'll hold out for a price drop, give it 12 months and the FR's will be avaialbel for 10k second hand, then it will represent a massive value car.

Want a test drive as will be interesting to see how it fairs to a 130 tdi and how much slower it is than a 160 cupra.
