does anyone know if the oval cupra rear box will fit my 07 plate leon fr? Has anyone done this and got any pictures? Are they a lot louder than the standard exhaust? Apologies if this has already been answered. Thanks

i have just spoken to seat leicester and they have told me it wont fit as its a different bore. Also they reckon you cant buy just the rear box! ! !
i dont think the guy at seat knew what he was talking about. Has anyone put one on an fr?
Well I have an FR and put a cat back milltek dual output system which is the same parts listed to fit a cupra. I would think your only thing would be to change the rear bumper trim.

The cupra exhaust is not a milltek don't know who makes them. I was just comparing my exhaust fits both so pipe diameter must be the same. also all mounting points are the same on Leon so all will be ok.
The standard Cupra isn't really any different to the FR one, just the tail piece surround is an oval type and not a twin like the FR.
The sound won't change and the Cupra one is cr&p IMO, that why I changed to Milltek cat-bak.
Why not try a Golf GTI MKV back box as apparently they have a nice rasp.

is your miltek loud. Dont want it tol be any louder than needs be. The mrs will only moan when she is in it.
Its not loud at all, it has a nice rasp on full throttle. I have a non-resonated cat-bak and some people report it to be too boomy at speed whilst cruising. I find it perfect. People who have opted for the resonated type has noticed little difference from the standard exhaust.

here we go ... A resonator is a chamber in the exhaust system that contains a specific volume of air which is designed to cancel out certain frequencies of sound (made by the engine) - making the exhaust noise quieter.
Therefore, a non-resonated exhaust system will give you extra performance and a louder exhaust note and the resonated system will give you extra performance without increasing the exhaust noise much.

perfect as i am not soley after performance gains more for looks i may look at a resonated box. Thanks for all the help
