Yeah she and my boy gets all the joy during the week & I get a few hours at the weekend. Really loving the wheels, they sit wider all round and provide loads more grip for our little back roads, aslo because they are Black with polished face, you can't see all the brake dust so looks tidier for longer.
Fitted the Forge TIP at the weekend and ordered an N75j to see how that fares. Its supposed give a smoother boost on re-mapped engines and can eliminate surges, which I do occasionally get.
They did look tidy, any plans for it for the near future?
I'm very tempted by the N75j but that money might have to go on getting it fixed...it decided to randomly not start on saturday, so left it and tried it sunday and monday, still not starting, so spent £40 getting it towed to the garage only for it to start first time when it got there! Going to still doing a diagnostic check to make sure there isnt any hidden problems that could come back and bite me in the @ss!
Let me know how you find the Forge TIP and N75j
, will let you know re the N75j Are you getting a garage to do the diagnostic check or have you got equipment to do yourself? You'll have to let me know what the problem was.
I can tell you now that I noticed an improvement immediately after fitting the TIP. I think the OEM TIP was collapsing because it used to nose dive at about 4-5rpm and now it doesn't, will let you know re the N75j
Plans for the future...good question...depends how much I can get away with without arising suspicion from the missus. More silicone piping, N249 bypass? (not sure about this), will probably get the short shifter and try and do something about the suspension; new shocks/springs, ARB's strut braces etc...the list could go on. Will keep the thread alive what ever I do.
Na got Bel Royal to do it, turns out it had just flooded because I moved it a couple of times without letting it warm up...dam expensive flooding that was!! But according to the diagnostic it turns out its had a remap at some stage of its life, not sure if there is anyway to check this for certain?
Have you had yours remapped?
Ha, at least it was nothing serious & you found out it might be mapped. Mine's mapped Revo stg2 but by the previous owner. Apparently a guy called Rich at Enigma in St John can tell what map the car has plus servicing etc. going to call him on Monday see if he has a rolling road etc.
He's the only guy on the island that can do a REVO remap and I think he's the only one with a RR. Let me know how you get on and you will definitely have to show me what the stage2 is like!![]()
Lovely motor you've got there, looks very clean.
Enjoy!![]()
Quick update
I called Rich at Enigma and he doesn't have a RR, but is open Sat morning so am going down there to sound him out.
I fitted the TIP and changed the N75 to the j version, I also put the yellow spring in the DV. Resluts are difficult to tell. I now notice a more progressive boost that more suits the pressure applied to the throttle, opposed to huge surging, which was a bit much (never thought I'd say that!). Someone on the island must have a RR!?!
I have sourced a UK firm JBS Autodesign who will credit the VAT back on orders so have given them a list of things. First on the list is H&R Comfort Cup kit suspension and 4 bar fuel presure regulator. Next will be 3" Downpipe and then an FMIC and few little bits n bobs in between.
Went down to Enigma today actually, found out car had already been remapped but the N249 was nackered so was running sluggish, now running a nice Stage 1 for only £30!
I know that there is definitely a RR in the island, a few of my mates have the old american muscle cars that you may see around and they know where it is, will have to make sure I find out for definite then will let you know, saves you taking a trip to the UK!

Hi mate, you'll have to let me know when you find this RR. What did you think of Enigma's service & knowledge, I still haven't been to see him but am thinking about it as car just isn't running to my liking but then it may be because I have got used to it now.
jcullen88 yes worzels car is the one and only stage 2 in jersey very rapid
richard @ enigma was very suprised at how well it went
