Hi, I have the autogauge smoked boost gauge fitted to my fr tdi, it's reali starting to annoy me now as it buzzes as the boost builds, iv just had it mapped at p-torque so it's got worse now as it boosts higher!
Any ideas to stop it buzzing as i realy don't want to take it out but the buzzing is driving me nuts!
Cheers

Ye it seems to settle at about 23/24 psi. Got any links to these gauges? Any recommended gauges that people have got on ther tdi's that don't buzz?

Use a chocolate strip.

pull the boost tubing through it and re-connect to the gauge.

Tighten the screws until it stops buzzing - worked a treat for me.

Yes, the electrical connection. White plastic block with brass screws.

Just tighten the screws a bit at a time until it stops buzzing. I had really bad buzzing but is now totally quiet.

It's air pressure, the block restricts the amount of air going through the tube to the gauge needle.

Is the buzzing an electrical thing then and not air pressure?

The buzzing is the boost causing pulses in the air flow to the gauge.

By using the chocolate strip you are reducing the pulsing effect dramatically by narrowing down the pipe diameter and thus airflow to the gauge.
