all,

i have a 2004 lcr225, got about 1000 pound to spend on the engine to get her going a bit faster, totally standard at the moment, any ideas and location of workshops?

cheers

Remap, £300. Forge 007p dump valve, £80. Jetex cone filter, £55. Cat back exhaust, £300. Boost gauge with pillar mount. N249 bypass, free :). That's a good start

how much power would i gain from all this? where would i be able to get it done?

bypassing the n249 makes the diverter valve work faster as it doesnt have as many pipes going to it some claim it holds boost better too.
you only bypass the n249 if you have an aftermarket diverter valve as i beleive the n249 is a back up for the standard diverter valve in case that fails.

Millsy, whereabouts in the country are you? we might be able to advise you where to go to get this done by a reputable company.
all the mods listed help your engine work better and therefore you get the best out of your engine. some mods will give you extra bhp, some mods are for reliability which is required.

the mods listed are guaranteed to make you smile!

If you're only planning to spend £1000 on the engine, and nothing more, do as instructed above. This should get you 240-260bhp.

But, if your planning to reach 270-280bhp and going to spend more on the engine, spend the £1000 on a 007p and turbo back exhaust or frount mount intercooler.
