Interested in a Heat shield to reduce the temp of the air going into my filter, currently got a Pipercross or Powertec (not sure which, but think its the latter)filter on there. After an hour or 2's drive I felt my filter and it felt warm, Im thinking a heat shield will help here.

I am thinking of going over to a K&N typhoon induction kit so looking for something that would fit that (its gota cold air feed)

Could people let me know what would fit, and give me some recommendations. :)

Believe Forge might do one and i know Neuspeed do one, but i dont know if there's one that will fit my N/A 1.6 16v engine

Is it really worth it? Wouldn't you rather put that money towards something else that you havn't done yet?

Why not just have a longer pipe and put the filter down near the bumper near the battery.

Either that or something like the BMC CDA kit which has a carbon case to protect against heat soak.

BTW is yours the 16v engine? Got any pics of your engine bay?

What have you done with the breather pipe? Just stuck a filter on it or a catch can too? And just got rid of the engine cover?

I doubt a heat shield would make much if any difference to your current setup.

i went for the neuspeed p flow just because it fits the space well. i find some induction kits make the engine bay look as if there was something missing. so if you want it for the looks, go for it, but from a performance point of view its a waste of money

YE i know, im just working out how do go about that, not to clean on washing off gunk, paranoid enough about getting water on something that shouldn't get water on.

You sure yours is 16v. That looks like the 8v version.

For me i would have to take the engine cover off to get to the air intake.

Yeah yours is the 8v version same as jimski's old one:
