I had Ap coilovers, whiteline rear anti roll bar, and the super pro torque arm bush. Fitted with 4 wheel laser alignment. Think its came to £850... but i cant really remember. Well worth it though, pound for pound the rear anti roll bar is superb value. Easy to fit yourself i hear... but im lazy..

ye not to hard but i wouldnt do it myself either if had to have all that done lol

I've had both eBay cheapos and ap' the eBay cheapo ride better than when full wound down but when set to a "sensible height " the ap' do ride slot nicer. Depends how low your going I guess.
Mines a 1.4 too

is yours a formula sport mate? so cheapos aint no good for medium height?

I've got Weitecs on mine, they are a fair amount of cash (picked mine up brand new sh for 300 notes) but they are really very good, offer nice lows and very cumfy!!

Went in my mates MK4 Golf last night, he's on FKs and they are bump and hard, but offer good lows.

Guess it depends what you want really.

Damien does offer a good price, so if money is an issue, i'd go with him :)

I've had them on 3 different cars now and I have to say they are outstanding when setup correctly and worth every penny. When warranties expire on my K1, i'll be getting my hands on another set!

Certainly a top quality fully adjustable set like that is the way to go if you know what your doing.

But being a poor cupra diesel driver, the AP's are more than good enough for the likes of me.

Out of a choice between the 3 what are peoples thoughts on the KW Variant 1/AP Coilovers/Weitec Hicon GT? Considering the performance gains in contrast to the increase in cost, which offers the best quality and value for money? I just can't decide! Been thinking of lowering it for over a year now..

Damian, price on the Weitec's + delivery to South Africa?

I need to have some fitted soon and want the best quality for good price... How do they rate compared to XYZ, AP, V-Maxx?

It's one of the cheeper range of coilovers kits. Still good but not as good as the like in the mid and top range.

Damian @ DPM Performance

The comfort won't be better as you'll be lowering the car and also fitting a slightly stiffer kit but it shouldn't be harsh on the road.
