As for the insurance point, the chances are they never even looked. How many loss adjusters have you seen walking around with diagnostic devices?

So your basically saying it's ok to drive around un-insured?

I have been researching revo and shark but I think p-torque is now on that list. Like the RR addition.

Dealers can tell easily if the car is mapped or not. As soon as they do a diagnostic check on your car SEAT head UK should have record of it being mapped or not, but the dealers wont know, this is according to seremotors.

The mappers themselves however have said that the insurance cos havent got the resources to check for maps and its not viable to worth investing in it either!

Hey mate if P-torque is close enough then go for it, mind you some folk have been known to travel down from scotland!!

As above go for P-torque, I have sampled revo stg 1 & 2 (ibiza 1.8t) and a P-Torque map on two cars BMW 320D and Octavia Vrs 2.0T) and they are well worth the money. Although mine was not set up on the RR due to it being DSG.
