Who's got the most heavily modified 2.0tdi (140PS) on here?

As title really... Just wanting to see what has/can been/be done with these engines that may or may not be able to be transferred across to the FR tdi lumps.

What do you want to know?

the 140 is essentially the same engine, the main difference is the 170 has a DPF and Different Head and software, oh and Piezo Injection.

my 140 is putting out 192hp and 320 lb ft, with a custom map and a K&N 57i, nothing more. Its getting a Hybrid and Clutch shortly, with Milltek exhaust and a Decat downpipe, that should take me to around 220-230hp, the Injectors arent capable of much more I think they to out around 230.

The most tuned TDI 140 is Devonmikeyboy , his is around 300+HP.

So whats giving the 70hp from 230? bigger injectors?

Where can i find info on this devonmikeyboy's car?

Was alx chung's car 300+ also and what happened to it out of interest...?

Alex's car i believe was 190 ish, Devon Mikey Boy's is the PD140 Beast to Have!! Actually i believe it is the most tuned leon PD

The way to go with the 170 fr is:

DPF removal
Panel filter or better flowing air filter
Larger bore exhaust system
Hybrid turbo
Custom remap
Bigger injector nozzels depending on what sort of power your after and money you wanna spend.

Same for the 140 really apart from it has no DPF to start with, both are fitted with a full FMIC, large intake piping and similiar exhaust systems.

Bigger injector nozzels... tell me more. Is there any cars that these can be taken off or are they an aftermarket branded product that need to be sourced? Hybrid turbo seems to do little more than allow you to run stage 2 without causing as much wear on the standard turbo but doesn't give any increase to what the final power output is. Maybe this would change if injectors were uprated? I never added that into the equation when getting info on it though...

Injectors on our cars are maxed at between 240-250, so we are running as near as possible to the max output of the injectors, with a hybrid turbo, it wouldn't squeeze much more power but the power will be wider spread and last for longer throughout the rev range. Bigger injectors are very expensive. These engines are good for a max of 300bhp for internals. :)

That's all very well knowing they are good for it but how do we go about reaching those figures...? Sitting around waiting for stage 3 is surely the lazy man's approach. We need to take direct action! :lol:

Uprated Clutch
LSD
Hybrid Turbo
Uprated Injectors
Uprated gearbox internals
Custom Map(which would probably be the biggest issue)
I reckon you'll be talking at least 5K + all in
