After months of trying to figure out why my car is sluggish and juddery, I think I may have found out - first stage DPF regen!! I have plugged it into Vag-Com and checked the appropriate blocks and sure enough, it is in stage 1 - see the last bit is set to 1. However, as you can see from the screenshot, the DPF load is only 20.9% - surely this is too low for it to be considering doing a regen!??
This was taken whilst moving very slowly, hence the RPM value - it is actually idling at around 800.

The car is PD 170.

Think I might have found the answer to my question here: http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=263734

Active ‘regeneration’ is when the ECU intervenes when the soot loading in the DPF is calculated to be 45%.

If that is the case, why the hell is mine doing it around 20%??? And no, it hasn't been as high as 40 because I've been monitoring it over the past few days and it's been hovering around that level all the time.

By the way I did a 150 mile motorway drive at the weekend and do motorway driving on most journeys (>25 miles) so three shouldn't be any issues of not getting up to temp.

Using your Vag Com, are the five sensor A OK because there have been many reports of duff sensors on this site and regen problems??

Thanks, I'll have a look although I'd imagine if there was a sensor problem it would throw up an error on the ECU, however everything is clean.
