Can anyone recommend some good all season tyres for my 2002 1.6S. Currently got Goodyear Hydragrips 195-65-15V. However will need changing soon.

Replies would be much appreciated.

Vredstein Quatrac 3, Hankooks also get decent reviews by some, Nokians for a full winter tyre (but some people use them all year). If you have the cash conti wintercontacts come out top as a great european winter tyre and even beat the extreme studded nordic tyres in tests (not that we can use studded tyres in this country, or need to).

I'll give you that but there was one for 1.6 Tyres not to long ago I thin ifben or wateva his name is started it and there was a good response to it

Basicaly with Tyres you get wat you pay for ;) lol

Still a Leon at the end of the day, and the only thing between you and the road ;)

Yes point taken mate.

I looked on here last time I wanted some new tryes in 2006 - and chose Goodyear Hydragrips. To be honest they're the best tryres I've ever had. Shame they don't do them anymore.

At 95,000 miles just waiting for the clutch to go now...lol!

Cheers mate I'll have a look for that.

As most people have said. You get what you pay for. Have a look on somewhere like mytyres.co.uk and ignore the cheap end budgets. If you haven't got the money ignore the top enders and the runflats. Then see whats best of the rest, there are plenty of tyre reviews on there.

If you have a 1.6 you will be able to get some top notch tyres for the price us others are paying for middle of the road for the cupra. At the end of the day it's your safety.

I know these are summer tyres but it makes a point. The real cost of cheap tyres:

Well, I bought Dunlop SP Sport Fast Response and very happy with them.

Cheers for the help folks.
