Yeah, been running like Mardon. V Power from the go and no nursing, 7.5K no probs 1.5 litres oil used and no problems. I did have the sudden power loss the night mardon was in London when we met up but no warning lights and has been fine since.

I've been running on supermarket unleaded or "Shell Fuel Save" (whatever it's called) and have had absolutely 0 engine issues (other than starting it due to battery issues). I've mostly been gentle, but do regularly give it a bootful when the opportunity arises :) .

It's an ex-demo car too, so for the first 5000 miles it was likely thrashed a fair bit in demos. I know the salesman who sold it to me used to take it home, so likely he thrashed it too!

^ Mines the exact same mate, ex demo probs thrashed everywhere but its absloutely fine :)

Everytime I go out it gets atleast one good blast :)

mine also ex demo at 5000miles, would imagine its been booted, use a mix of supermarket and v power and no probs.

I've had issues, just not necessarily with the engine. poor electronics and workmanship seem to have been the blame, just trying to give it time to impress me now. Havnt voted as not really an engine issue. Just need to check my oil :)

It's a pity BP stopped selling their 102RON ultimate............ was just reading up on it. This country needs to get with the market trend from EU. Many places selling 102RON there.

how many of you who have issues let the car sit idle for a while before and after use because looking at the results so far it's pretty even across all fuels as to the ratios of non issues and issues

It's still around 25% with issues.

Momentum in mine. No major issues until 24S4 update - now, with the exception of 4 days, it's been at the dealers since 25 November.

i dont really warm mine up just drive it slow and let it idle once started for about 10 secs. however i let it cool down for 3-5mins. i dont feel sitting on the drive for 5 mins is gonna make any diff then driving it slow, turning off yes but bollox to warm up just dont be a twat when you drive off.

I used to be the same as spurt. But with all my issues and the snow/ me not liking getting into a cold car :) I have been starting my car 5 mins before I leave work and Havant had any issues BUT that could just be luck

I drive slow to start with but dont bother letting it cool. The coolent pump still works for a while after engine is turned off. No point sitting there really.

i just let mine idle for 30sec to 1min depending on what tunes i have on haha.
so far only 1 problem last year but a change in driving style sorted that out...i drive even faster :p

27 NO ISSUES to 8 ISSUES. Not as bad as I was expecting overall!

still a fairly high number if you ask me, not sure i would have bought the car knowing there was a one in three chance of it having engine problems. would like to know the true percentage of cars which are problematic, not just the members, as i do think a lot of forums are used by people looking to solve problems with their cars rather than expressing how much they enjoy them. your poll seems to suggest that there are as many issues with members using premium fuel as there are with those that don't, so possibly its just pot luck, good work..

Out of roughly 1000 bocas I think in the UK how many do you think non forummembers have issues? I bet it will be an even lower percentage.

think your probably right, i think if there had been major issues with the engine they would have resolved them as they couldnt afford not to.

I have always used 100ron and never had fuel issues. Its good to keep a bottle of NOS(yellow one) or Torco in your trunk and if you refill from a dodgy place add the appropiate dose to compesate for the crap fuel quality. Stick to the mentioned doses because the above products increase 6-7 octanes.
