start driving with a fogged up windscreen  perfect if you want run over someone or crash into something. I can't see anything with the windscreen covered in fog.
I even got so sick of it, I just wipe it of with a spunge...don't care if it leaves stripes.

the silly thing is, that it also coveres itself in fog when I'm driving for hours straight...

I clean the inside of the windscreen with Windolene or something similar. It stops it fogging up for a few weeks. The film of dirt that builds up on the glass gives a haze that moisture can stick to.

so guessing you have checked spare wheel well and checked pollen filter yes? Seriously buy a pingi!

spare wheel well? what can I see there?
I'm going to change the pollen this weekend, the filter was in backorder when I did my maintenance...
hopefully it will eliminate the bad airco smell (sometimes it smells like an old shoe store:blink: )

Fogging up on the inside of the windscreen windows is quite common.
It doesn't mean there is some thing wrong with your car.
It can some times be from where you have had the air vent blowing hot air, then over night when the temperature drops you get the cold and hot mix and foggy windows ;)

Check for water/damp there was gunk in mine that was never there before (I know as had to use the spare wheel a few months before hand)

We are talking condensation as well though you have clearly never had to wait 15 minutes to de-ice the inside on=f the glass in the mornings! Either that or scrape it off and cover the seat in ice which will make it damp and make the problem worse!
Been mild here only frosty one morning so far but it happened but it was only light layer so scrubbed it away.

 Oh ok i've never had ice on the inside!
sorry i missed that, does seem quite bad!
But when it gets freezing it does take about 10 minutes to clear the foggyness on the screen.

Got my Pingi today :) where do you normally place yours in your car? i was thinking rear cup holder?

if your de-icing the inside you definately have a water leak, the door rubbers are also a common culprite.

if its just condensation and your carpet is dry, as been said its just you've had the blower on and its so cold outside the change in temperator has caused the condensation. if youve had your heater on and its very cold outside, open your windors a minute or two before you leave the car to let some of the hot air escape :)

Gotta get a pingi the kids will love it.
had my 1st frozen inside screen last week and it wasn't even that cold.
Here comes a stupid question--- the cabin pollen filter... where is the air intake for it????
is it near the windscreen/bonnet??? If yes then if you don't clear debris or snow then you will get more condensation coming in.
BUT I do agree about how the screen clears quicker once driving. I let it tick over at about 1500 rpm til good enough/safe to see out of then once driving it only takes a few minutes BUT not if thick or onto busy roads.

seems air con can be a bit of a pain! when i put my blowers on it fogs up my windscreen which is a bitch but as soon as i get going it clears.

saying that i know my car needs a full on service including all the fluids and the pollen filter, and i think will probs get the aircon re gassed 2.

does anyone else find that their recycle wont work below 0'C?

mine been freezing on inside and now on side windows now too same as last year really makes me want to bin the car de-frosted it then drove 5 mins to Tesco was there for half and hours all frozen up sot had to sit in tesco for 115 mins took well over an hour to do quick shop down the road grrr!

If it helps my wifes mazda 6 2006 diesel is even worse!!!!! it will finally clear the windscreen but the side windows are rarely clear when damp.
Does your heater work as it shouldn't take that long to clear!! Is it on recirc as this will cause it to fog up.
Cars are generally a pain in the cold anyway!!![:@]

since i mad my pingi i have only had the problem once adn that was coz it was full haha,
altho still steams up when i get in it on a cold day ect, but i slam the AC and recycle on and it clears rather quickly whilst i scrape the outside of car :)

My car does this. It has in the past leaked water in but it appears dry at the moment, yet it still mists up inside.

I've bought some Rain-X anti-fog glass treatment which I'm going to put on the inside of all the windows/screens and see how that goes.

Let us know how that works out im considering buying some

i think its just the cold weather.when you go out in the car in this weather you just cant not have the heating on, which gets the car hot inside. add all the moisture from breathing/ wet clothes if its raining when you get in the car & when you park the car up & leave it the moisture goes to the cold windows to escape/ hence them misting up as its cold outside etc. when i went to mine the other morning it was frozen more on the inside than it was on the outside on the screen lol
