Hi Guys
Well my phones not back from the insurers yet but my parents are using HTC Desires so I thought I'd try that, Wedged it in there today!

I reads ALOT of stats, intake temps, ambient temps etc.
First thing It flagged up straihgt into my screen ERROR CODE

Showing that my CAT isn't working (Its decatted)
Very impressed especially for a free bit of sofware, I'll purchase the real thing as its under £3.

It clears and logs faults so you can search the web for their meanings however it told me EXACTLY what my fault meant.

Fantastic bit of software, I'm using the cheapo ebay dongle and it works a treat.
It doesnt measure boost but I already knew this as I'd been looking at their forums.

If I remember correctly the Liquid guage doesnt do it either?
So maybe its an issue with the way the ecu spews out the live data, however I could be totally wrong.

If we all sign up to his forums and post there to say that we are using the application and this is a feature we are very much interested in I'm sure he'll work on it for us. He seems like a great guy.

I'm buying a dongle for my mums car now aswell and installing the application on her phone for a "Just Incase" fault reader as she does a number of miles.

Very impressed...

This is my cheap ebay one:

Thats the same Dongle ive got! Mine works but occasionally it will have a fit and keep disconnecting

As i said Boost works on MK2 Leon TDI's (not sure bout petrols), However mine wont display any Error Codes even tho VCDS tells me ive got 3

Its a bit touch and go at the moment, its still VERY new software.
The forums have a few mentions of it not displaying error codes but for the 1.8t's I've seen it tried on it seems to work every time, Maybe its to do with the different ECU iterations.

Eitherway its got potential and if we all register interest via his forums hopefully he'll take notice.

Up late at night again JB, its like the old Ibiza days :p

Im on night shifts so you will find im only up at night :p

Yeh ive had the software about 4 months and have seen about 15 updates he certainly seems to work on it as much as possible, i think the disconnecting error is due to Cheap ebay dongles rather than the software itself

The LG does read boost, it doesn't read MPG though.

These android devices are amazing.
All of my phone contacts have their addresses attached to their contact cards which means that the Sat Nav automatically has them. The device has google maps and google search which means finding places is great.

You have a fairly decent music player (But Winamp is on Android now and that looks awesome) that I'm going to input via Aux

You've basically got a Sat Nav, Internet Device, Map Device, Series of Dials and Boost logging along with everything else you can do with a smart phone and its like £200 and you can mount it into your car!

I'm going to look at making some sort mount that will go infront of the CD player or some sort of Dash mount. I'm undecided to be honest!

Works fine too?
Got the link please.

This is the exact one I've bought
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....943303&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT#ht_5148wt_989

The software has a Faster data rate thing, I've not tried that yet but its pretty good. Maybe 1 second between action and logging which is acceptable and I'm sure with the faster data rate it will be less than 0.5!

Any dongle that has that "LooK" should work.
They say their hit and miss but... it was a hit for me.
