yeah u can fit the vr6 selector its a direct fit, i used the actuator off a 2ltr 16v cupra on my gear box to make it cable change clutch and it was terrible so i would suggest finding a pedal box from an ibiza with hydraulic clutch and fit that(i belive the diesel ibizas had them?)

its defo worth doing because u will be seriously disapointed with a cable clutch

yep diesel version is a hydraulic clutch not a cable!

second that - 16v cable conversion was/is and always will be an afterthought and i'd convert mine tomorrow if it was easier - leave it as hydraulic as it was designed to be

Nope, the bulkhead is different on the tdi. Either roly or martin m has converted a cable to hydraulic though. Have a look at their build threads.

Ok lovely cheers. Maybe find a scrapper and cut out the bulkhead around it then!

iirc the hassle is the shape of the plate isn't flat if it's abs - something along those lines

VR Subframe, uprights, hubs, brakes etc - use cupra/golf mk2/corrado hubs and brakes
Original polo steering rack
Mk2 Golf wishbones (to bring it back to narrow track)- if u use golf wishbones then u will have to use golf arb and droplinks otherwise use the seat stuff
Cupra Mk2 Shafts (what about Caddy diesel shafts? Any good?) they should be ok just check there the right size spline that goes into the hub
Ibiza Derv Hydraulic pedal box (and area of bulkhead)
Plug and play wiring
VR Clocks
Cupra Mk3 Rad

ibiza gti/cupra fuel pump - yours will run the car but i found when i had mine running on the 1.4 pump that everynow and again it was a bit hesitant when slowing down then accelerating
