outside temperature display is not working and not showing any signs. I figured that the outside temperature sensor, but that he showed to be defective-40c. What are the possible faults?

yeah the sensor is on the n/s wing mirror and they are pritty temprimentle and always brake carnt do much once they read lines but -40 mine did that the other day and was fine a few days later but just make sure there is nothing on the sensor might help mate not 100% tho

Just replace the sensor.

are you sure if you replace the sensor that will work. No backlight and there is nothing in the display. The display is situated between the RPM and KM / H

What? What car have you got? The temp display should be in the top left of the massive screen / headunit thing in the middle of the car.

Mine is the same i have just blank lines on my temp display are they cheap to replace the sensors and are they easy to replace yourself?
