Wiring a sub

depending on what h/u you have there should be a remote wire in blue which you use.

why did you need an in line switch?

i always switch the sub on by switch to stop that fud noise you can get when you turn the ignition on. its a old skool thing

you dont have to do it but it will protect your sub and amp.

Power ariel I think? usually blue but cant remember if its the same on the Leons's iso lead.

I think you may be right - any 12v switched live would in theory work.

just been reading through and wondering can the standard headunit in a leon run a sub from it i kinda like the standard look of it and dont really wanna get a replacement headunit

Yes you can. The is a aux block you can buy for the standard headunit.
