Hi Jimz,

Thanks for the kind comments.

I used sating black plastikote paint as that sticks to most things easily, just a couple of very light coats to do the job. HTH.

HTH? Plastikote is for platics right? How does it take to the alloy of the intercooler? Any rubbing down needed?

hi mate, plastikote sticks to most surfaces, keying (sanding) of any surface to spray is a must for it to work properly.

I agree with this the polished rocker and inlet look the dogs dangleys! Was it hard to do i may attempt this!

got them sent to a polishing company in birmingham who did both and sent it back to me for £80 all in.

Did it take long to key the intercooler then? How thorough were you? Sorry for all the questions lol, want to try and do this right first time.

thats fine, it took approx 30 mins to key the intercooler using sandpaper, then cleaning it, letting it dry and then applying the plastikote paint. so start to finish was approx 3 hours.

was a good fit, removed it and sold it to Andy Lang on here who now has an impressive extra 40bhp (not sure how this happended) since fitting it. I am looking at replacing it with either a TurboRevs side mount IC (similar to Forge's larger side mount IC) or a smaller FMIC with twin outlets soon.

Looking good mate! Did you have to drill the hole for the strap or was it attached to a previous bolt?

no i used a hole that was alreay there for one of the bumper screws.
