What to use when polishing the manifold?

Hi. As sed above. I want to polish my manifold and not sure what to use in the stages as i want a good finish. Cheers

lots of different grades of wet n dry ,not sure what metal polish people use as i have a polishing machine i dont use it

I had an idea about using different grades of wet n dry. What grade to start from and finish of on? And at what stage would i have to change the grade wen rubbing down?

maybe start with a 120 grit and work up to 1200, have aword with cupraelliott he has just hand polished his inlet manifold

i had it done by rainbow polishing in birmingham for £80 all in including delivery of it back to me.

yep for both, i dropped them off to him - old skool fella working from a mega dusty unit and thats what he charged.

Im gonna paint the rocker cover danny....so shut it! Lol not gonna polish all the mani. Jus the square bit at the top. Gonna paint the tubes black

how you have got me on getting them done have a spare rocker cover but may have a N/A 20v rocker cover coming

Normally Autosol and a soft clean cloth, just rub it really hard till the paste goes black and waxy, then buff it off

If there deep you'll have to wet & dry them, I'd start with a 1000 grit and see if it takes them out, if not then try 800 and work up to the finest you can get hold of, keep the surface wet and mix a bit of washing up liquide in with the water, it will help prevent the paper from cloging.
