So I start the car tonight and on the display this think comes up with a number 32 and top left corner what appears to be an image of a clock face. What the heck is that all about???!!! Car is on 8800 miles now so could it have something to do with servicing. I remember someone else here mentioned it before but cant find that thread now.........

LOL, yeah forgot to take it out the car. Can't be 32 days as the sticker in my windscreen says 09/04 which is less. Oh well, will check at some point.

Kewl, no worries then. Could not have been reset after I bought it as it's only the first service and has never been back to the dealers....... apart from when I had the boot lock done but that was ages after I got the car.

It's a 32 day countdown till the wheels and doors fall off :cartman:

LOL, yeah will be during April. Will it reset when I reset the service counter or does it HAVE to go in to the stealers?

Not sure to be honest, I'm still a long way off service lights to work out if the dashboard totally resets the counter

Think I will give Ross a call and see what he has to say about it. I am sure it will reset as I was told any VAT registered garage can service the car.

That was me that made that thread. Mine says 30 now, till 9000. Even though it'll be getting done when it reaches a year as i won't reach 10,000 by next month.

Any VAT registered garage can service the car but I don't know if they will be able to reset the maintenance interval display.

The manual says:
The Service Centre which carries out the maintenance service will reset the maintenance interval display once the service has finished.

The manual assumes that it will be a reset by the Seat dealer that services it.

It would be a bad idea for it to reset automatically when you pass 10,000 miles because it would stop reminding you that you that it still needs the service. The service should be carried out within 30 days or 1,000 miles of the recommended intervals so it might reset itself when you're more than 1,000 miles past it. But I think a dealer will have to reset it using VAG-Com.

Unless someone knows another way of resetting it.
