Got the EML on at the moment i clear the code the light goes off after a while it comes on again I have replaced the precat lambda sensor but it just comes on again after a while, im convinced it could be my maf but just checked it and its already a bosh replacment maf sensor> reading the above link do you think the light keeps coming on because i need a 02 sensor spacer because im running a sports cat now or are these just for decats?

I have a miltek race cat I don't have a spacer on tho. Will be selling it soon as I'm getting a 3" dp and decat.

Interesting this matey... I have the same exhaust and had that EML light about 1 week after it went on.

However, I had a major fmic boost leak, and sorted that out - and from it the EML light vanished and has never come back. They didn't map out the EML light, use a lambda spacer or anything. 'They' being AmD by the way. Weird one but mine has been fine since that 1st week when I last saw that EML light.

How close to AmD are you? They can map this kind of thing out easily bud.

supposed to be mapped out in the first place as the fault code was there before i bought a new sensor i've now changed it to a new sensor but he eml light still comes on from time to time making me think maf but now i have checked it seems to be bosh one surely it must be down to this

Hmm, see how it goes when the new MAF goes on. Keep ruling things out that you know of may be causing it.

Did you ask them to map it out from when it was mapped initially?

yeah they mapped it out with the old sensor connected, recently i have just got round to fitting a new sensor, just checked the maf tonight and its a bosh replacement thats been fitted pretty sure its a geniune sensor after all so prob don't need a new maf from seat as JKM said the maf was reading well, so i have ordered that 02 spacer probably will sort it i reckon

I got full blueflame system on my LCR

Car was running fine for a while then it started to idle rough, throttle hesitation plus run rich.

Took me ages to find the problem as I had no fault code. Then I finally got the light up on the dash with "16804/P0420/001056 - Catalyst System; Bank 1: Efficiency Below Threshold"

Abit of internet searching I found out that a spacer might help so I got one and ever since the car has been perfect.

Please make sure you post up how your car is running with the spacer fitted once you've got it mate.

Might get one myself if it's improved your car as I have the same exhaust.

Will do t0m :D

cars going in for sachs clutch thursday try and get that on at the same time

52k every time a garage checks it they need to take for a spirited drive to do some logs, plus my own driving enjoying the car and the rolling road runs its dead i was told the clutch is on the limit for that kind of torque, that was before i fitted the badger 5 TIP so who knows what its up to now, the clutch is deffo dead revs are shooting up and not enough speed being put down feels loose when you engage it used to feel quite stiff

yes got the spacer do not have any fault codes with both lambda sensors and no EML light seems to have done the trick!

I'm ordering mine soon! This is the only fault code I now have and want to clear for good, lol.

I have the same problem. Stage 2 with pipeweres d/p, sports cat and milltek system. EML might not come on for some miles but then it will just come on. You can clear it by taking the battery off but the fault will still be banked.

I'm guessing i need this space to bring the post lambda sensor out of the flow abit.

Has this worked for everyone who's on this threat who has this problem?
