I havent posted much on this page yet, but as I have a Black SC sport 1.4 too I thought maybe I could offer an alternitive opinion:
It might not be the fastest car in the world but its hardly slow. I have just spent the last hour driving home from work, thorwing it around county roads and had great fun. Also the Corsa SRI behind me couldnt keep up and only caught/passed me when we hit a long straight duel carridgeway. Maybe its the way you drive it.....
How can you compare a skyline to a 1.4 Ibiza. Guess on that basis my ibiza is stupidly fast compared to a g-wizz! Plumb!
When I test drove mine (not sure if you did as you seem to be avoiding the question) I will admit I didnt take much notice of the rear legroom, but then again I dont give a s**t as i sit in the front and I am not using it as a mini cab!
As for the glovebox, what do you want to put in it that wont fit? yes its hardly massive but it just means its one less palce to fill with cr@p. Maybe if its a problem for you, you could invest in a "man" bag? you could also use this for your loose change, and that would solve the issue of you loosing it in the car.
the windscrren washer issue isnt an issue, as it has 6 jets, surley you use less fluid at any time? if you run out just tailgate a mondeo as thier washers seem to clear the rear of the car when used!
I cant remember what your other "issues" were, but for me the Ibiza is one of the best cars around and if you really dont like it, sell it and go back to your 18 year old skylines.
Sorry to drag on guys but just before I go have to say great site, and heres my list of why I love the Ibiza Sport:
Great looks
Best looking car in the class
Comfy sports seats
its not a corsa/polo/fabia like eveyone else has got
highest spec car available for the price - sports seats/folding mirrors/fog lights/CD player/Air con/alarm/alloys/etc etc
fun to drive

1) I got the same problem. But then again, I didn't buy the car expecting to drive people in the back all the time. If i would, I'd get something bigger than a three door super mini.
2) That's what they are supposed to do.
3) There are other storage compartments, to name a few: armrest, cup holders, the thing behind the cup holders, drawers under the seats, door holders... oh, and the back seat. you know, for those of us that don't buy a 3 door super mini to sit people back there.
4) Then stop treating it like a water fountain.
5) Then don't drop coins. I hear getting coins out of a wishing well is even harder.

OMG i just made a massive discovery......i as coming to work today and i couldnt fit my lunch, shoes and a jumper into my glove box....what to do.....then i discovered this thing....i think its new....a RUKSACK!!!!! its genious it fitted them all in and it fitted nicely on the backset...even in this thing called a footwell on the passenger side or the best bit theres this HUGE amount of space in the back called a shoe......oh no wait a BOOT!!!!
and best of all my 1.4 still went like s***e off a shovel ive cured your problem (for the glovebox anyay)
as for the room in the back...hmm could always befriend some small people

If only we all had a glove box that big. Hold on, i wonder why they CALL them a GLOVE BOX. And not something like a BIG BOX so i can't fit everything in there. Pretty sure theres one of those towards the back of the car though.
