Thats was a quick response! Thank you. What power (approx) is the map supposed to give? I don't want to affect the fuel economy too much. I have heard people say that the DPF delete in iteslf can help improve the fuel consumption, but I would have thought the remap would reduce it?!

Can you tell I am new to this?? haha

In all seriousness, i have not had a problem with CC's map itself but more on sensor components. As far as regen problems are concerned CC has overcome these.
As far as power is concerned i've been on 4 different Rolling Roads with 3 runs each. It has all being pending on temperature and my lowest runs were also including my KnN panel filter.... They have varied from 230-244bhp. So it's around that mark. My fuel economy has not improved, maybe stayed on par and defo worse than my stage 1 map

its not a silver one with high mileage is it? lol could be my old one if it is ... sorry lol. anyway as its a PD i think there are more places who can offer dpf removal as well as shark but im sure andrew and BIGG can advise you better, i only remapped my pd not de-dpf'd it like my CR.

Haha, that doesn't sound good, but no, it's a black one with about 17thou on it. Getting it from a stealership tomoz in Letchworth.

From the bits I have read, CC is up your end of the country though right? If I do go down this route it would nice to find somewhere reasonably close by. Shame AMD have knocked the idea and don't appear to be trying the develope their DPF delete mod (from the message I received anyway). I'll keep lurking and see what everyone is saying and once I've actually got the car, speak to Shark.

Nothing confirmed but apparently VOSA are going to change the rules on Diesel Emissions

Which apparently means Cars after July 2008 will HAVE to have their DPF's on to pass a MOT

So my car would Fail

As i said nothing has been confirmed yet

Mine's April '08, I think a visit to Shark is in order the next time I'm heading home up the M1 :D

I looked into this about a year ago and decided against it after the few problems people had had (Andrew, Bigg) and have only just found out Shark offer it too

And DPF off's are on off from Shark at the moment :funk:

went to start my car tonight and nothing..... just turning over!

Tried 5 times and still nothing.

Left it 10 minutes and started fine.

Connected VAG-COM up afterwards when I got home and came up with Camshaft position sensor implausible signal.

Logged twice, once at 09:07 in the morning and once at 17:58 tonight.

Looks like I will be booking in to get sorted under warranty.

Dont think this has nothing to do with DPF delete but thought I would let you's know

Just letting you know I had this with my fr tdi about five thousand miles ago. I had more of a problem trying to hot start the car. It was the camshaft sensor and seat replaced under warranty.

Mine is only blufin with the dpf still there.

Yeah the car was still quite warm when I tried to start it, I had not long been in from work and had to pop back out.

Tried it today and fires up on first turn. Booked in for tuesday any how :)

We have yet to do more than a select few DPF deletes over here in Australia, but I'm watching your experiences with great interest. Keen to get it done soon, and Custom Code seems to be the only reliable long term option yeah?

Now then guys..

My Mrs was so annoyed with the issues with her DPF as she usually does short journeys that after a long think we decided the only way was to get the DPF deleted and mapped out last week.

It was done by a company called ECU-Flash in Sheffield. Friendly guy and seems to know his stuff.

This is mainly my wifes car that she uses to take kids to school so we didnt want no miltek pipe or anything fancy like that.

ECU-Flash do not fit a Miltek delete pipe. They remove the dpf from the housing and remove all regeneration processes which stop it regenning.

Soon after getting it done I did 250 miles that day and have since done about another 200 miles.

So far no issues but will keep you guys posted if there are any. The car feels a lot faster but still drives like a factory car should and id estimate it to be atleast 200-210 bhp although no rolling road was done.

Price £400 including life time guarantee.

My Mrs is finally loving the car.

Ok, I've got a question.
A Fabia VRS was infront of me over the weekend and he started to boot it, it was clearly remapped due to the smoke it was throwing out, but I couldnt actually get by it until high figures.
My leons de-dpf 225bhp on the rollers. But my question is does this sound about right? Im guessing its only going to be around 170bhp (the fabia), but cant help but think so there something wrong in the fact I couldnt get by it until higher figures. I used to have an Ibiza fr remapped a few years ago and it was quick but i didnt think it would be as quick as the dedpf leon... :-(
