Hey all,
I have been having a few problems with my LCR, its hard to explain but i have been getting what can only be described as feeling like kangarooing, if i press the accelerator the car feels like its surging (this is at low boost) sometimes when i plant my foot you dont notice it so much and the car will pick up and accelerate really hard, other times i will accelerate and there will just be a loud whooshing of air but nothing really happening and then wham the power will be back again! Its generally worse when the car is cold, some cold mornings i will go to pull away and you will hear the note from the exhaust change and get louder like the car is accelerating hard but really nothings happening, so i will back of the accelerator until i feel the car pick up again and then i can start accelerating (obviously not hard until the turbo warms up), could this be a boost leak? failing MAF? slipping clutch?
LCR 210 AMK
Mods before i got the car:
Stage 2 Revo MAP
Full 3" custom decat and exhaust
Forge 007p dump valve (serviced 2 weeks ago)
4 bar FPR
Mods I have added:
Badger5 3" TIP
Jetex Cone Filter with custom heat shield
Silicone crankcase breather, n75, dump valve hoses
Silicone hose from throttle body to inter cooler (charge pipe to inter cooler is still stock and feels squidgy when its hot, not sure if this could be a problem?)
Boost & Oil pressure gauges
I have replaced the N75 valve and was supplied with part number 06A 906 283 E, i wasn't sure if this was right because everyone seems to talk about the F valve being stock but i was definitely told this part number was correct as they used my reg to find it! The camshaft position sensor has also been changed
Also the turbo pressure will peak at 20 psi according to the gauge which i thought seemed a bit low
I was hoping someone might of experienced a similar problem or be able to advise me towards a solution, any help is appreciated, i have got some logs of block 002 which i will post up shortly
Thanks Jack
