Got to say im undecided on this. I think they chaps bay looks like the engine is fitted really low in comparison to the really high fitted side covers. If they dont fit im sure this is one of those items that could be fettled with some trimming

Right an update. The battery cover arrived broken so waiting for a new one!

The guy I got the covers off also included the 5.3l washer bottle tank that sits higher than the smaller one, and really looks the part.

The engine cover is on, have a look at the pictures I took while fitting.

The brackets and all fitting parts arrived from Audi

What I will say it that it is not a perfect fit, as you would expect. I have bought some double sided sticky foam that will fit down the lip of the wing and further secure the cover to the wing and to the front panel.

I'm sat thinking about carbon wrapping the cover too.

I dunno whether it would be difficult to do though ha ha

I like thats, I think that looks a lot neater

However, is it me or does it seem that theres an extra bit of trim between the cover and the wing/slam panel on the Golf compared to above?

I think its a lot neater too.

The fit is the same as the Golf. There is a small gap where the cover curves. I have seen a few golfs with this mod and it is pretty much the same.

I just need some thick double sided foam to run down and seal the gaps etc.

Anyone know where I can get some about an inch thick???

If you do it through the dealer its expensive. Just this cover and fitting kit is £97 from Audi. I didn't and wouldn't pay anywhere close to that. If you can fine an S3 being broken i.e. auction sites etc you can do it cheap.

To do a proper job you also need the 5.3l washer bottle for it to be flush. These are £28 from the stealers or if you find an S3 being broken, buy it all together.

The 5.3l tank was a bit of a bonus for me, I wasn't expecting it, and with winter and crappy roads coming up, it is a bit of an added extra

No just £97 for this cover and fitting kit. The battery cover is another £40 or so with the fitting kit.

Expensive job if you do it from the stealers

ha ha. if they do find one breaking its unlikely that they will find the covers as the Golf and Audi boys get them very quickly.

I was just lucky and stumbled across mine

I'm sat thinking about carbon wrapping the cover too.

I dunno whether it would be difficult to do though ha ha

If you use the carbon effect fabric then it would be faily easy to wrap, If you wanted to do it in real Carbon then it would be a LOT harder

It's a lot smaller, I've got a picture of a TT one fitted to an S3 somewhere and they had to cut another cover to fill the gap at the buttom.

On another note I've managed to get mine to fit properly without the big gap in the corner :D
