Right, I've had a play with mine today and yesterday, few things I've found so far:

  • I was sure in the free version it was possible to display a fuel/air ratio display but I can't find it in the paid one?
  • My boost peaked at 32psi today, minus atmospheric pressure and converted into bar that makes about 1.2bar. Is that about right for a non-remapped mk1 LCR?
  • The coolant temp display on the dash hit 90 long before the display in torque did, it was still about 72 when the dash dial hit 90. Think I've got a faulty coolant temp. sensor? Or thermostat?
  • Fault codes seem to come up wrong compared to my VAG-specific code reader...

Also, anyone used the data logging at all?

I know my scanguage does similar, i think perhaps the gauge on the dash is wired differently to 'round up' or basically be less accurate???

Differences in software tolerance and specific potentiometer hardware will maybe give this.

Nah that's normal, the same thing happens if you pull up the coolant temperature on the Climatronic display and compare the two from cold. Dashboard gauge gets to the indicated 90 long before the climate screen shows the same.

Does it get all the way to 90 degrees if you keep driving? If not as Lee said this could be giving your other symptoms.

Once up to 90 though the climatronic doesn't change (assuming your thermostat etc is fine), even though an OBD scan tool will show the "real" coolant temp to be higher in cases - I've seen mine rise on the OBD scanner to 204F sitting in traffic in the middle of summer, that is just under 96C.

The normal 90C is 194F :)

72 is low i'd be looking to change the thermostat, plus your other thread, the thermostat might be the cause of it.

Cheers guys. Last night on the way home the Torque temp display only got near 90 once I'd parked up outside the flat. I haven't tried taking the car for a proper run out some back roads or even sustained cruise on dual-carriageway yet but while on the way home last night as I said it didn't get much about 80ish until I was parked up.

Would one of you mind adding something about the thermostat to my other thread please? i.e. how to change it (if it's DIY-able) just so as not to pollute this thread with my specific problems :)

Are any of the supplied programs on the mini-disc worth installing/using for scanning etc?

Does anyone know if it is possible to monitor timing pull and O2 sensors and which mode to choose to do this on a LCR?

Has anyone considered running this on a tablet, it would look slick placed on top of the speedo cluster?

If theres a sensor its possible you just need to know the formulae to correctly work it out.
I was thinking of relocating the cd player and bits and bobs and mounting it there but it looks like helluva task

I was thinking you could mount it on a some shapeable foam that fits into the speedo recess, meaning you could just keep the oem speedo and push it over the top of the speedo, maybe just having a power usb cable hanging out if you remove it?

Hi Guys, Just got my HTC Sensation so I bought the software straight out and WOW its come on leaps and bounds.
I love the track day plugin that records what your doing plus it logs, fantastic!

Anyone have any idea what MAF and what PSI boost I should be reading in a 278bhp LCR?

I'm using the suggested -14.7 setting for sea level (According to the software) to calculate the boost.
Cant remember what the MAF is pulling but I'm SURE I saw the boost peak for a second at 30PSI which seems WAY too high to me but on full beans in a straight line its between 25 and 27PSI.

MAF Pulls like 186 I think,
Found out today it wasn't logging so I'm going to have to log it when I'm charging down a motorway ramp!
